Apples and Waterfalls

Thought I’d take a minute to finish blogging   about our trip. After we got home from our trip our life went into whirlwind mode. First,  our middle child had strep throat…which he lovingly passed to his mama…..and because that wasn’t enough excitement for him, he ended up in Children’s Hospital one night after falling 6 feet from playground equipment! Thankfully he checked out ok, but it was enough to keep me off the computer for a whileSmile
So….back to our trip. One morning we woke up and headed to The Apple Barn!
IMG_6522The Apple Barn is an old farmhouse that has the most delicious breakfast this side of the Mason Dixon Line….well probably the most delicious breakfast either side of the Mason Dixon line.

After such a hearty breakfast, Gordon wanted to try a hike…so we headed to the Great Smoky Mountain to find a trail that we though the kids would enjoy!
When we started the hike, we were all smilesSmile

However, after 1.5 miles of hiking…and getting POURED on the last .30 miles, our smiles started to fade…
