Listen close and you can hear Ava say "Color". When I taught 2nd grade, the kids were allowed to work in their "white books" on Fridays. After 3 years at home, I am finally going through all my school supplies that are out in our garage. I found 3 (oh the irony) white books in my boxes. I know the grandparents will love watching Little Missy color in her "white book!"
For these children....we have prayed! TripleSmiles is dedicated to capturing the smiles of God's answered to our family.

Miss Pattycake
Is what Levi, my 2 year old ask me as we approached Prestonwood Baptist Church tonight to attend the much anticipated Miss PattyCake Concert.
The boys have been excited all day to finally get to go hear and meet Miss Pattycake. She has become a beloved friend in our home. Her music is a wonderful way to teach scripture and biblical concepts to these young minds. Miss Pattycake was extremely pleasant in person and had a wonderful concert for the children. One More Video (for now!)
One more thing...to mute the music, scroll all the way down the bottom of the blog and find the big black box. Press the pause button, it will mute the music, then go back to the video and press play!
A New Obsession??!!
I am often ask...how do you have the time? I am a picture/scrapbook junkie....and now oh no...will it be a video posting junkie? Sorry, but this is one of the only ways their grandparents get to see them grow...as both sets live far away. (Ok....this takes forever to upload...so maybe it won't be such an obession afterall!)

Easter Weekend
Well...I have noticed most of my blogging friends have posted Easter by now...so I'll share too.
On Good Friday, I got out my "Easter Tub" and read to the children several books out of my collection. My favorite book for their age is a book The Best Thing About Easter. The book shared with the children how fun it is to decorate eggs, find eggs, eat Easter Candy, pet bunnies, see baby ducks, wear new clothes, eat yummy food after church on Easter. The book concluded however with the message that even though all those things are fun...the BEST thing about Easter is Jesus..God's Own Son. The book went onto explain that Easter is about God's wonderful amazing plan that Jesus died and lives again..in each of them, and how very much Jesus loves them. Then we sang Miss PattyCake's song..which includes the line "There was a shake and a rattle and the stone was rolled away..on that mighty Resurrection Day!"It was so cute to hear the boys say "Resurrection Day!" If you haven't heard Miss PattyCake...she is in concert at Prestonwood later this month. She has a wonderful way to teach the Bible to our little ones through song! Check out her website http://www.misspattycake.com/
After reading about the Best Thing about Easter...we did some of the fun things. We worked on the Big and Little concept with Big and Little baskets with eggs, painted with eggs, and went to see the ducks at the pond.

On Easter Sunday, we had a wonderful service at FBC-Dallas and then ate lunch with Gordon's family.....who owns a bunny that Z-man absolutely loves!

Thanks for reading and see my first video post! I am so excited it worked! (You have to press play!)

Daddy's Toys

After a very eventful week, a package arrived from Grandma and Grandpa in Michigan. (Well it actually arrived a few weeks ago, but the rainy morning provided the perfect excuse to open it!)
Inside were a bunch of Daddy's old toys. How fun! Blocks, Letters and Tinker Toys. Of course the kids don't understand yet that these toys used to belong to their daddy, but maybe one day they will. Little Girl wasn't too interested in the blocks...so she just curled up in a chair with a book. Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa!

Meeting a Friend

The boys met a friend today.....Thomas the Train and Sir Topham Hat! They had lots of activities for the kids to do including a giant train table room, movies, puppet shows and a smaller train ride that boys actually rode alone. It was the first time we have "sent them away" on their own ! And they waved and waved at us as they were going around the track. In the picture with Thomas, Levi is saying "I want to see Sir Topham Hat!" But then you can see he wasn't too sure about Sir Topham Hat in person! It was so cute...when it was their turn in line, Z takes a big breath, put his hand on L's back..and said "Come on Levi!" A great fun family day!

Fishy Day

TGIF!!! The best part about TGIF is Mops...AKA Mothers of Preschoolers. We meet 2x per month at First Baptist Church Mckinney. Each time we have a topic or craft followed by discussion and prayers. I have grown to love each of the woman at my table in such a special way. The children are in Moppets and its so cute to hear LJ say " Hurry! Let's go to etts" Today the children's lesson was on Jonah and the "Big Fish" and they made these adorable crafts of Jonah inside the belly of the big fish. This was a huge lesson for the boys...and they got it! All day today, they told me "Jonah did not obey God!" After naptime, I took them outside and showed them that Jonah did not stay in the belly of that fish. We filled an empty OJ bottle with water, added some food coloring, put in some packing noodles to represent Jonah...and shook and shook that bottle! Then, Zachariah enjoyed pouring out the bottle and sending Jonah onto Ninevah! LOL! The last picture of all 3 happily playing with their fish in the water was interrupted by the boys tipping over the full water table onto their sister....who casually crawled away soaking wet!
