On Good Friday, I got out my "Easter Tub" and read to the children several books out of my collection. My favorite book for their age is a book The Best Thing About Easter. The book shared with the children how fun it is to decorate eggs, find eggs, eat Easter Candy, pet bunnies, see baby ducks, wear new clothes, eat yummy food after church on Easter. The book concluded however with the message that even though all those things are fun...the BEST thing about Easter is Jesus..God's Own Son. The book went onto explain that Easter is about God's wonderful amazing plan that Jesus died and lives again..in each of them, and how very much Jesus loves them. Then we sang Miss PattyCake's song..which includes the line "There was a shake and a rattle and the stone was rolled away..on that mighty Resurrection Day!"It was so cute to hear the boys say "Resurrection Day!" If you haven't heard Miss PattyCake...she is in concert at Prestonwood later this month. She has a wonderful way to teach the Bible to our little ones through song! Check out her website http://www.misspattycake.com/
After reading about the Best Thing about Easter...we did some of the fun things. We worked on the Big and Little concept with Big and Little baskets with eggs, painted with eggs, and went to see the ducks at the pond.

On Easter Sunday, we had a wonderful service at FBC-Dallas and then ate lunch with Gordon's family.....who owns a bunny that Z-man absolutely loves!

Thanks for reading and see my first video post! I am so excited it worked! (You have to press play!)
