It’s No Secret By Now…..

that I LOVE American Girl. I think I am reliving my childhood. So, Nana came to town and Ava I couldn’t wait to take her there! It just happened to be her birthday, so it was a good excuse to celebrate at American Girl.

This trip to American Girl was different than our past trips for 3 reasons.
Reason Number 1

Reason Number 2
 
Reason Number 3….It was Spring Break and we had to wait for almost 2 hours just to get……

Mommy was so tired by the time we actually sat down, she thought for sure she deserved this…..

That little white cup was full of CHOCOLATE!
Yummy!
Note to self…..continue to leave reason number 1 and 2 at home for future trips to The American Girl Store! They enjoyed getting the strollers from the Bitty Baby sections and crashing them all over the store a little too much!

Race On Over….

to celebrate Zachariah’s 5th lap! We celebrated Zachariah’s birthday at a nearby pool with lots of friends, family and LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!

His amazing cake was another fabulous creation of Sarah from Sweet Art Bakery. I was able to purchase it very reasonably because earlier this year I bought a groupon for the cake. Groupons can save you lots of money on great products and restaurants in your area.  Check it out here.

Believe It or Not…..

Zachariah was given such a special gift for his birthday last week…passes to a place we had never been before! I honestly thought for sure I had been to all the “cool places to take kids” in Dallas.
Zachariah’s friend Nelson and Nathan (and their mom!) treated Triplesmiles to the Dallas World Aquarium for Zachariah’s birthday present.

Thomas ABC’s.

aI have two Thomas loving boys. I wanted to share a recent fun alphabet activity we did with some very cool oversized alphabet flashcards. (Thanks to Nana!)
Normally, flashcards are well boring…..but I tried to find a way to spice them up a bit as they still are the easiest way to test to see what letters we still need to work to learn.
First, I had all 3 kids help me set them out in order.
Then we hit our Thomas collection and matched the first letter of each engine’s name with the right letter name.

Or a conductor in a Uniform…..

Harold the Helicopter goes in for a landing on letter H!




This was a lot of fun and really easy way to add a touch of learning time into their playtime!
